Smiles!

Finally! Olivia is smiling! It is the prettiest most wonderful smile in the world. She officially started smiling last Saturday...the ones were you know that it was on purpose. When Olivia smiles her entire head smiles. Her bright eyes light up and even her forehead smiles at you. She is getting bigger and acting older every day. She has officially outgrown her newborn onsies...

Brian took the kids camping for a couple of days during spring break. They had such a great time...Ryan said it was the best day of his entire life. They ate hot dogs and donuts...and started each morning roasting smores..What?...dads....
I was really sad that Olivia kept me from going....(lying).
Olivia and I went on long walks. During one of the said walks a little boy about 8 ran up to Olivia, took off her blanket, and stared touching her hands. He even tried to kiss her face! Needless to say I was hyperventilating the rest of the walk home, trying to not let her get her fingers in her mouth, and scrubbed her down with soap when I walked in the door....while he was "loving" on my child his mom saw and said "Oh, Johnny are your hands clean?" Ummm...he had just been outside riding his bike...he replied, "gee I hope so, he hahaha" Okay dumb mom....and germ ridden child. But alas she survived:)
Olivia has now officially went to Target, the grocery store, and even on a girls night out with me....and I am feeling a little more like myself.

WOW!

Olivia is 8 lbs. 6 ounces! I knew she was getting big! It was fun to see that she has finally passed up the other kids birth weight. At 2 months she is in the 5th %...but we are going to adjust her weight to the 2 1/2 weeks she would be based on gestation :)

I am patiently waiting for a smile....patiently....patiently..... I have got one REAL smile out of her and I am so eager for more. Olivia is finally taking more to her baths...meaning that she is not screaming the entire time....and she loves her Moby Wrap. I bought it so that I can clean and decorate cakes well into the night ...and at the same time holding and snuggling her....she melts the moment I put her into it.....my back...not so much.

The other kids will be on spring break this week...that should be interesting with the fact that I can't take Olivia anywhere....hummm...

The Best Life

I have not posted in a while...not because she isn't changing and growing everyday..but because I am tired! This not sleeping stuff is rough. Olivia is so Wonderful! She is getting so big...and there is no denying her double chin(s) now. She has started to stare at her fist when I am changing her diaper...its so cute...and I love it when she makes another developmental milestone.

She also gave her first Smile....guess who got it...well of course I did!...I did, you realize... carry her in my womb for 8 months...gain weight...lost sleep....had belly cut open....shall I go on...she knows who to give that first precious smile too :) Daddy was a close second...he got a smile from her today (a day later) he was kissing her belly playing with her and she smiled at him.

Olivia has a good life....Olivia is held SO MUCH...the kids LOVE to hold her and ask to the minute they wake up and the min. they get home from school. Even a month later they are fighting over who gets the first turn. I also help make Olivia's life "the good life" this week by following my sisters suggestion and buying a "Moby" wrap to wear Olivia around the house with me. It has worked...Olivia loves it, she thinks I am snuggling her all the time. It also leaves me hands free, and so today I even decorated a cake with her tied to me.

Olivia could not be loved and adored more....we all find everything she does to be THE cutest...or the sweetest...or the most wonderful...we all like to just look at her and love on her as much as possible. It is such a sweet blessing to have her in our lives. She has filled our home and our souls with an unspeakable happiness. We are all truly living "the good life".
